Egyptian parliamentarian Tarik Al Kholi praised the recent visits conducted by a number of world celebrities to Egypt during the recent period. He added, “We previously demanded the Ministry of Tourism to promote for Egypt’s tourist sites in the other countries through inviting the world celebrities to visit Egypt and its monuments.”
He added that such visits send clear message to the citizens of the foreign countries that Egypt enjoys security and stability on the contrary of the claims published in the western media channels and newspapers over the deteriorating security. He expects that Egypt’s tourism will restore its rates, blaming the security situation witnessed in the country for the decline of tourists’ number during the recent years.
He added, “There are a number of indications that the vital sector will achieve notable progress during the coming period, especially after the recent measures taken by the government to secure the flights.” He stressed that the Russian government will take serious measure to return the flights from Moscow to Cairo in the near future.
He pointed out to the importance of achieving economic and social balance along with preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Arab region and keep it from depletion or destruction. He said tourism in the nature heritage locations is required by vast categories of tourists.
Regarding the developments of Ethiopia’s Renaissance Dam, the parliamentarian praised the efforts exerted by Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, saying that the Egyptian government gives the priority to cooperation with Africa. He stressed that the visits conducted by the Egyptian president to the African states came strengthen Egypt’s relations with them.
He blamed the media channels and newspapers for aggravating the tension between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, describing the relations between the two countries as historic. He raised the importance of strategic relations between Cairo and Riyadh. He added that the Egyptian position from the Syrian crisis is different from the Saudi position, stressing that each country works to achieve its own interests.
