Egypt will continue to be the core of Arab and Islamic nations and to represent the hope for the whole world to disseminate moderate Islamic way of thinking through its scholars, intellectuals and Al Azhar, said Awqaf Minister Mokhtar Gomaa on Friday.
In a statement, the minister said wherever he attends a conference, the conferees assert that no hope for overcoming current regional challenges away from Egypt's leading role, referring to his recent participation in Morocco in a conference on religious minorities.
Within this context, Gomaa lauded the role played by the Egyptian diplomacy abroad, asserting that the new spirit was able to meet the aspirations of the Egyptian people.
