Portugal defender Jose Bosingwa has reportedly been fined two weeks' wages by QPR after refusing to be a substitute for last weekend's victory over Fulham. QPR manager Harry Redknapp punished Bosingwa after taking exception to the former Chelsea right-back's angry reaction to being dropped from the starting line-up for the west London derby at Loftus Road. Bosingwa, who joined QPR in pre-season on a contract reportedly worth £50,000 a week, was said to have stormed away from the stadium after being dropped, forcing Redknapp to change his substitutes. In Bosingwa's absence, QPR won 2-1 to record their first Premier League victory of a troubled campaign. The 30-year-old has also been left out of the squad for Saturday's game at Newcastle, although QPR claim that is due to an injury rather than his breach of discipline.
