Former Real Madrid defender Rafael Lesmes, winner of five European Cup titles in the 1950s, has died in Valladolid at the age of 85, the Spanish club said on Tuesday. In eight seasons with Real Madrid from 1952 to 1960 he was a teammate of Real Madrid legends Paco Gento and Alfredo Di Stefano, and helped the club become the first side to win five consecutive European Cup titles, as well as four league titles. Lesmes, who had one cap for Spain, also played for Real Valladolid. From Fifa
