JS Kabylie team's Cameroonian attacker, Albert Ebossé Bodjongo, passed away Saturday night, struck by a projectile thrown from the stands following his team's defeat against USM Alger (2-1), as part of the second day of Algerian Ligue 1 championship.
Ebossé, 24, succumbed to his injuries at hospital in Tizi Ouzou, where a large crowd gathered outside to check on the health of the player.
The Cameroonian player scored the unique goal for JS Kabylie (penalty) in this match. He managed to tie after the goal of Mokhtar Benmoussa (USM Alger).
The second goal of USM Alger, which was scored by Youcef Belaïli and caused the defeat of Les Canaris, angered fans of JSK who began throwing projectiles from the stands of 1st November stadium, one of them fatally hit the Cameroonian player.
