The former Uruguay international has admitted that a comeback from injury is very unlikely, but he refuses to give up all hopes of returning to match action.Ajax defender Bruno Silva has revealed that he is unlikely to return to a football pitch any time soon as a shoulder injury appears to force the defender into an early retirement. The former Uruguay international underwent a shoulder operation early in 2011, and has since been out of action.Silva was initially hopeful of a quick return, but the right-back has now admitted that he has probably already played the last match of his career, although he refuses to completely rule out a comeback.\"My future is uncertain at the moment. I\'m working hard to fix my shoulder problem together with Ajax\'s physio. However, the chance that I\'ll return to a football pitch is very small. I refuse to completely throw in the towel though,\" Silva said to NUsport. The 32-year-old started his professional career with Danubio and also wore the jerseys of Rostov and Groningen before joining Ajax in January 2008.Nevertheless, a string of injuries and the emergence of Gregory van der Wiel prevented him from making an impact at the Eredivisie champions.Silva has an expiring contract at the Amsterdam giants, and the wing-back is likely to hang up his boots this summer.
