West Bromwich Albion and England goalkeeper Ben Foster will be out of action for up to 12 weeks, the English Premier League club announced Tuesday. The Baggies said a scan showed the 30-year-old Foster had suffered a stress fracture of a bone in his right foot, having limped off in the 77th minute of the goalless draw at Everton on Saturday. Foster is due to have surgery in the next few days and West Brom manager Steve Clarke told the club\'s official website on Tuesday: \"There\'s no hiding the fact this is disappointing news as Ben is a key player for us. He was excellent on Saturday before his injury forced him off.\" Welsh international Boaz Myhill, who returned to training this week after a wrist injury, is likely to replace Foster. Foster, who had retired from international football in 2011, returned to play for England against the Republic of Ireland in May. But this injury will rule him out of England\'s upcoming FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers at home to Moldova and away to Ukraine on 6 and 10 September respectively. Source: fifa.com
