Ahly midfielder Mohammed Barakat will not be taking part in Thursday training due to a minor back injury. He reportedly underwent some medical tests that revealed he would be able to participate in Saturday’s session. “I will return to training next Saturday after completing my rehabilitation program,” Barakat told reporters after Thursday’s training session. Meanwhile, Ahly’s medical staff declared that defender Rami Rabeia won’t undergo surgery since he must complete a two-week rehab program. The 20-year-old defender, who managed to secure a regular place in Ahly’s first team squad last season, reportedly suffers cartilage problems.
