The reigning world champion, Iran\'s Behdad Salimi, proved to have remained the world\'s most powerful man after setting a new world record in his snatch move and wining the gold medal in the superheavyweight category of the 2011 World Weightlifting Championships in France.The 22-year-old two-time world champion picked up 214 kilograms in his snatch move in France Sunday night and made compatriot Hossein Rezazadeh\'s 213 kilograms a part of history. Salimi lifted 250kg in the clean and jerk and won the gold medal with a total of 464kg. Also Iran\'s Sajjad Anoushiravani won the silver medal by lifting 198kg in the snatch and 241kg in the clean and jerk to record a total of 439kg. South Korea\'s Sang-Guen Jeon claimed the bronze medal after lifting 192kg in the snatch and 241kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 433kg. In the team rankings, Iran stood third after China and Russia.
