Adil Ali Khan, Dhruv Bahl, Adham Gabr and Angel Mazon all helped themselves to wins in the opening stages of the KEF Tennis Challenge, one of the top junior tournaments in the UAE Development Series earlier this week. Adil Ali Khan cruised to an easy 6-1, 6-2 win over Saif Marouf in the boy\'s under-11 tournament, while top seed Mujahid Khan justified his ranking with a hard-fought 2-6, 6-2, 10-6 win over Victor Jovic in the boy\'s under-13. Ritvik Bhanwani also advanced after securing a 7-5, 6-3 win over Kamran Azzari and Michel Katrib had it easy after Zachariah Faizal retired while trailing 0-4. Girls competition In the boys\' under-14 tournament, Adham Gabr also advanced with a 6-3, 6-2 win, while in the girls under-12, top seed Angel Mazon was simply too good as she blanked Meyasar Ergashev 6-0, 6-0 and Jumana Asim was leading 6-2, 2-0 when her opponent retired. In other matches, Lojaine Adel Salem beat Rhea Singh 6-1, 6-2, Anaya Singh got the better of Imsha Jawad 6-1, 6-0 and Bea Francesca Acena was too good in her 6-1, 6-0 win over Zara Manwani. The KEF Company is sponsoring the KEF Tennis Challenge 2012 as part of its commitment to the UAE Development Series. The final is scheduled to be held on Saturday.
