PITTSBURGH: Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin had three assists to move into a tie for the NHL scoring lead as the Penguins beat Chicago 3-2 on Tuesday to snap the Blackhawks’ five-game winning streak.Malkin assisted on goals by Chris Kunitz, James Neal and Tyler Kennedy, giving him points in all six games since Penguins captain Sidney Crosby left the lineup again because of recurring concussion symptoms.Jonathan Toews and Viktor Stalberg had third-period goals for Chicago, who have the most points in the NHL.Elsewhere, Marian Gaborik snapped a third-period tie with the first of his two goals and then sealed New York’s win with an empty-netter as the Rangers beat New Jersey.Gaborik also helped set up Artem Anisimov’s second-period tally that tied the game 1-1. New York broke the Devils’ four-game winning streak in the first of six meetings between Atlantic Division rivals.In another match Radim Vrbata and Ray Whitney scored to lift Phoenix over Florida. Brian Campbell scored for the Panthers, who suffered their first loss in regulation in nine home games. Florida’s past 13 home games have been decided by one goal. Florida were awarded a penalty shot with 24.5 seconds left in the game because several Coyotes players displaced the net, but Stephen Weiss’ shot was blocked by Coyotes goalie Jason LaBarbera and stopped on the goal line. In Washington, Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom scored first-period goals to set up Washington’s win over Nashville. Alexander Semin and Troy Brouwer added third-period goals for the Capitals, who have won six of their past seven against the Predators. Nashville lost for the first time in six games, and this was their first game in 11 to be decided by more than one goal.The Predators’ sole goal came from Sergei Kostitsyn in the third period.In Ottawa, Erik Condra combined with newly acquired Ottawa center Kyle Turris on the first of Condra’s two goals and lifted Ottawa over Buffalo. Zack Smith scored in the first and Erik Karlsson netted the Senators’ third goal on a power play at 17:49. Condra netted his second with an empty netter to complete the scoring.
