Arron Afflalo led all scorers with 29 points Friday and the Denver Nuggets won for the fifth time in six games, beating New Orleans 110-97. Ty Lawson added 11 points and 10 assists for Denver, which shot 56.2 percent from the field despite making only 6-of-23 from 3-point range. Lance Thomas led New Orleans with 18 points and Jarret Jack scored 17. The Hornets have lost four in a row. Afflalo scored eight consecutive points in the third quarter to give the Nuggets some breathing room. Denver then outscored the Hornets 31-26 in the fourth quarter.
