World number three Andy Murray announced Tuesday he would start his 2012 season at the Brisbane International in preparation for the Australian Open. The Scot, who lost to Spain\'s David Ferrer in his opening Group A match at the ATP World Tour finals on Monday, said he was looking forward to being in Queensland ahead of the first Grand Slam of the year. \"I love coming to Australia, but I\'ve never had the opportunity to visit Queensland before,\" said Murray, who was struggling with a groin injury in the Ferrer defeat. \"I\'ve heard only good things about the Brisbane International tournament, so I am looking forward to competing in January.\" The Brisbane International is a WTA and ATP tournament, running from January 1-8. On the women\'s side, Serena Williams, Samantha Stosur, Maria Sharapova and Kim Clijsters are all confirmed starters.
