Iranian weightlifter Kianoosh Rostami on Friday won two gold and one bronze medals in the World Weightlifting Championships being held in Paris, France. According to IRNA reporter in Disneyland, Paris, Rostami, in the category of 85 kg, lifted 209 kg in the Clean and Jerk and 173 kg in the Snatch. Rostami won two gold medals; one in Clean and Jerk and one in total. He got one bronze medal in the Snatch. Rostami asked for 219 kg in Clean and Jerk to break the world record but failed. 79th world Weightlifting Championships started in Paris on Saturday. Weightlifters from 93 countries are participating in the tournament.
