Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison has been suspended for one game by the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy. Harrison collided with McCoy during last Thursday\'s game when the quarterback moved to his left and threw a pass. Harrison lowered his head and hit McCoy in the facemask. Game officials called a roughing the passer penalty on the play. McCoy, who finished the game, has since been diagnosed with a concussion. It is unknown how much playing time he will miss. NFL Executive Vice President Ray Anderson said Tuesday Harrison was given a suspension, without pay, because he is seen as a repeat offender. Harrison has been penalized five times for illegal hits on quarterbacks in the last three seasons. Unless he appeals, Harrison is barred from practicing with the team during the suspension. He could rejoin the team Dec. 20. The suspension is thought to cost him about $75,000. Pittsburgh, 10-3 and tied with Baltimore for first in the AFC North, next plays at San Francisco Monday night.
