Manchester City crushed Bournemouth 4-0 on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of the table to five points with a fifth win out of five. Kevin de Bruyne, Kelehi Iheanacho, Raheem Sterling and Ikay Guendogan sealed another impressive victory for Pep Guardiola's side.
The win extended City's advantage to five points over Everton, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, who won 4-1 at Hull, where Alexis Sanchez scored two goals, dpa reported.
Everton can cut the gap to two points if they beat Middlesbrough later on Saturday. Islam Slimani scored twice on his Premier League debut as champions Leicester beat Burnley 3-0 to move into the top half.
And Nacer Chadli scored twice as West Brom beat West Ham 4-2 in the day's other match.
