A court in Dakar has blocked the accounts of the Senegalese Football Federation at the request of a lawyer representing dismissed coach Amara Traore.A court in Senegal on Monday froze the accounts of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) following a request from former coach Amara Traore’s lawyer. The body’s president August Senghor confirmed the court action on telephone from England, vowing to seek an injunction.“I was told this morning that our accounts had been frozen by a court order. We’ll seek for an injunction to be able to access our funds even if this may take months,” Senghor told Senegal Press Agency on Monday.“We cannot work this way. We have outstanding cheques and we cannot make any financial transaction,” he said.At an initial hearing on April 3, a court in Saint Louis, northern Senegal, ruled in favour of the coach and ordered the football body to pay him approximately €56,000 for his two-month salary arrears and vacation grants.A second hearing on Traore’s “abusive dismissal” case will be held on April 24. Amara Traore, 46, was sacked in the wake of his team’s elimination from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in the group stage.
