Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has criticised Schalke\'s supporters for the hostile reception they gave to Manuel Neuer on the goalkeeper\'s return to the Veltins Arena.Neuer left Schalke for Bayern over the summer in a move which was not popular with either set of supporters. He lined up against Schalke on Sunday and kept a clean sheet to help Bayern claim a 2-0 victory in the Bundesliga, but Heynckes was disgusted by the offensive nature of what he heard from the stands.\"Manuel Neuer did not deserve to get treated in that way,\" Heynckes told Bild.\"Several of those protests were crude and went really blue, beyond the belt.\"You cannot say he is lacking character. Manuel Neuer is a wonderful person.\"Neuer had expected to be given a tough time by Schalke\'s fans and was not too distressed after the final whistle, preferring to focus on an important win for Bayern.\"I did know I would not be getting a very warm welcome,\" said the 25-year-old, who had spent his entire career with Schalke before moving to Munich.\"The supporters of Schalke are very emotional. I knew that. I had got myself prepared for this.\"Winning the match was of the utmost importance to me. I don\'t care if some people are feeling offended because of that.\"
