The team was established by the AFC as a recommendation from Fifa to monitor what is actually happening in Indonesian football as well as to mediate the internal strife.Fifa has made a major move in dealing with the conflict in the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) establishing a Task Force to take direct action to help resolve ongoing split in the organisation. After Fifa delayed the deadline on the PSSI to mid-June to get its affairs in order and resolve the crisis, they have now commissioned the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to form a Task Force team to investigate the issues. In an AFC letter addressed to PSSI general secretary Tri Goestoro on April 4, it was written the special team was a Fifa directive from its recent committee meeting. The members of the Task Force team would include AFC vice president Prince Abdullah lbni Sultan Ahmad Shah, general secretary Alex Soosay and head of member associations and international relations James Johnson as well as Fifa\'s executive committee member Worawi Makudi. The news was welcomed by both sides of the PSSI and the rival federation Indonesian Football Savior Committee (KPSI) which is led by La Nyalla Mattalitti.\"We are delighted. There are good people who understand the problems we were finally included. They are the direct assignment of Fifa,\" PSSI president Djohar Arifin told JPNN.Meanwhile from KPSI, the organisation\'s media officer Azwan Karim admitted they very excited and optimistic because they believe their side is currently supported by more than half of the members of the PSSI.\"We are certainly glad to have this team. We are not afraid because we are right, we have two thirds of the vote which is quite legitimate,\" he said in a statement.
