Egypt Cup holders Zamalek managed to qualify for the competition's final after securing a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Wadi Degla on Monday.
Following a drab, goalless stalemate, which witnessed few goal scoring opportunities, Zamalek and Egypt Cup runners-up Degla headed to penalties.
Ahmed Ali, Mohamed Abdul-Shafy, Mostafa Fathi, Moemen Zakareya and Salah Soliman all scored from the spot for Zamalek while Degla's veteran keeper, Essam El-Hadary stopped the shots of Hazem Emam and Mohamed Ibrahim.
The reigning champions now meet either Ahly or Smouha, who clash on Tuesday, in the competition's final.
