Acting Secretary General of UAE National Olympic Committee Mohammed Al Kamali praised Sunday the initiative of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in launching a sports day in the country.
Al Kamali said during a meeting of GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports that the initiative of HH the Emir will promote a healthy lifestyle in the Qatari society, something that GCC societies lack. The meeting was held to discuss expanding Qatar Schools Olympic Program to the rest of GCC countries.
The UAE Acting Secretary General of National Olympic Committee said that participants in the meeting backed an initiative made by UAE President of the National Olympic Committee Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum to have one physical education class a day in schools.
