The boats come in many shapes and sizes at the 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Final, which got under way in Abu Dhabi yesterday, and there will be one extra powerful addition to the line-up this weekend.
Team Abu Dhabi, challenging for outright victory in this year's XCAT World Series, will make a guest appearance when the regatta enters its second day at Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club on Friday.
Saleh Al Mansoori and throttle man, Rashed Al Tayer, will take the mighty Team Abu Dhabi XCAT to the World Cup Final venue to meet some of the world's top elite sailing athletes chasing gold medals this week, and provide an extra attraction for spectators.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the sixth and final round of the 2015 XCAT World Series, takes place at the nearby Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club from 25th-27th November, and Al Mansoori and Al Tayer, currently lying second in the championship, would like nothing more than to clinch the world title on home waters
