Kuwait has achieved advanced positions in the skeet shooting competitions in Incheon's 17th ASIAD, taking place here, said on Tuesday Chairman of the Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Dr. Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
He praised, in statements to KUNA, the performance of Kuwaiti skeet shooters Abdullah Al-Rashidi, Saud Habib, and Salah Al-Mutairi at the competitions here, wishing other Kuwaiti athletes at home would take cues from their endurance and determination to win medals.
Sheikh Talal said the Kuwaiti skeet shooters ran into some difficulty yesterday due to bad weather conditions but that did not take away from their determination to do better today which is what they did winning some valuable medals, among them the gold medal in singles competition and the silver one in team competitions.
Meanwhile the Kuwaiti ambassador to South Korea Jassim Al-Bedaiwi told KUNA the Kuwaiti medal winners have become a source of great pride for the Kuwaiti people and have catapulted Kuwait's ranking in skeet shooting.
