The second week of the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) sports competitions will begin on Sunday. The seventh edition of the SOP is being held under theme of “Sport and Integrity” . The SOP second week will feature volleyball competitions for boys secondary and preparatory schools, basketball competitions for boys preparatory schools and handball competitions for boys preparatory and primary schools. The basketball competitions will be held at the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) indoor hall while the volleyball competitions will be staged at the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVBA) indoor hall. Moreover, the handball competitions will be played at Qatar Sports Club and Al Sadd Sports Club. The SOP competitions will be resumed after Eid Al Adha holidays. The SOP is annual program being organized by the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Supreme education Council in cooperation with the Qatar School Sports Federation. The new partners of the seventh edition are the ministry of interior, the International Centre for Sport Security, the Qatar National Anti-Doping Commission, and the Anti-Doping Laboratory, Qatar. The event will be staged under patronage of Maersk Oil Qatar which sponsors the SOP for three years. Source: Qatar Olympic Committee
