Algerian Boxer Salem Tamma (56 kg) will start Sunday in the semi-finals of the boxing tournament of the Nanjing Youth Olympics (16-28 August 2014).
Following the draw which took place Saturday, the Algerian boxer will play against his Bulgarian counterpart Mihailov Duchko, bronze medallist at the World Junior Championships held in Sofia last April.
“Salem Tamma is preparing this competition in the best conditions, especially in terms of technical aspects. Saturday evening’s session will be devoted to the tactical part and the preparation of tomorrow’s (Sunday) game against the Bulgarian,” his coach Dine Ahmed told APS.
Salem Tamma, 18, snatched the gold medal in the juniors category at the Africa championship held in Yaounde (Cameroon).
He was ranked fifth at the latest World Junior Championships, played last April in Sofia (Bulgaria).
