The General Assembly of Qatar Football Association (QFA), will meet next Monday under chairmanship of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the QFA, and in the presence of the QFA council members and those of the general assembly . During the meeting ,the third of its kind since elections held three years back, the participants will discuss a set of reports related to activities of the QFA during the last sports season. The QFA's general assembly will also discuss a wide range of key topics ,inter-alia participation in the continental championships such as asia semi-finals , the Gulf Cup championship and the other outdoor championships of select teams and clubs. The QFA president met earlier Wednesday with club secretaries and other officials to hold wide-ranging talks on football matters. Ali Al-Naimi Assistant Secretary General, QFA, Hani Balan, Executive Vice President of Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM), Abdulrahman Al Dossari, Chief of Marketing, QSLM, and Hamad Al Mannai were also present during the meeting. Mansoor Ansari, Executive Director, QFA, initiated the discussion which centered around the existing football system in the country. The QFA president ,who had also invited members of the local media ,urged the press 'on getting the facts right before making any news item public'. He said the role of media is a key element in the development of any sport. Debates on players' salaries, player transfers and other issues relating to clubs were also discussed.
