The Sailing and Rowing Federation (QSRF) intensified its organizational effort to host the prestigious Qatar Open Sailing Championship and Qatar International Match Racing 2013 in Doha in October. According to the organizers, the championship will begin on Tuesday and will bring together 144 sailors from 16 nations including Czech, Germany, Italy, Kuwait, Bahrain, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, India and Qatar. The delegation of Thailand arrived in Doha on Sunday. The delegation includes 16 players and a coach. The Qatari squad includes Saleh Telfat, Maryam Al Sulaiti, Abdurrahman Aljinah, Yousef Al Baker, Gharisa Al Muftah (4.7), Eman Abuyousef, Mohamed Al Mohannadi, Faris Al Bakri (Radial), Mohamed Al Jaidah, Waleed Al Sharshani, Abdul Rahman Al Mudahka (Standard), Ali Al Muftah, Abdurahman Al Nasr, Jassim Al Muhannadi, Ghanim Al Sewaidi, Mohamed Al Sewaidi, Rashed Telfat, Isra Al Sulaiti, Kheireddine Bouchema, Adam Bettihthamou, Samir Bettihthamou (Optimist), Jassim Al Sulaiti, Fahad Al Malki (470), Amro Ahmed, John Hesse, Jan Wind, Skylar Sherman.
