Qadsia Sunday beat Al-Jahra 91-85 in the fifth week of Kuwait Basketball Association's (KBA) League in a fierce clash that Qadsia managed to win in last minutes.
Qadsia's new coach, Egyptian Ashraf Farouq, succeeded in leading the team to victory and gave hopes to the team to cruise to the League title that they lost three years ago.
The team managed to win the game despite the fact that key players were absent either for performing exams abroad, injured or suspended.
Al-Jahra coash Saud Al-Rabah's men did not succeed to outmatch Qadsia.
Kuwait meanwhile defeated Kazma in a thrilling 69-60 match, in which the former's Rashed Riyadh, Abdullah Al-Shemmeri and Fahad Al-Dhefeeri steered their team to victory.
Kazma suffered its second defeat in a row.
In other games, Al-Nasr beat Sulaibikhat 76-73, while Arabi beat Sahel 80-59.
Qadsia and Kuwait are the two teams that suffered no losses so far.
KBA decided to ban participation of foreigners as of this season in order to allow local clubs rely on Kuwaiti players.
