Newcastle United players have been using the football facilities at the Sports Village, joining Swansea City and West Ham United from the English Premier League, who have both previously used the facility for training purposes.
The Newcastle squad, faced with wintery weather back home in the north of England, made full use of the grass and artificial pitches, and had access to the Indoor Dome which contains a full-sized FIFA-approved artificial surface.
Reflecting on the visit, Dubai Sports City President, Khalid Al Zarooni, said, "It was a pleasure to have Newcastle United with us, using all that we have to offer.
"The squad's presence was a further illustration that the facilities we provide are truly world-class and the fact that Newcastle United is the fifth leading club side from Europe to come here in just two years serves to show we are getting things absolutely right.
