Kuwait Speed Racing watersports team dominates the first round of the UAE Jet Ski Championship, held in Dubai Saturday.
Kuwaiti racer Abduallah Al-Fadel ranked first in the professionals' stock category, and compatriot Hamad Al-Dallali came second place in the same category.
Abdulaziz Al-Najdi ranked the second in junior stock category and fellow national Yousef Al-Abdulrazzaq won third place in the Pro Ski category.
Al-Dallali, in a phone call with KUNA on Sunday, expressed his great happiness over the Kuwait Speed Racing team achievements in this round that was held at Jumeirah beach in Dubai. He applauded the efforts exerted by all the team members, headed by Sheikha Mashael Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, and the support of President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Talal Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
UAE Jet Ski Championship kicked off in Saturday 1st January with a high-speed competition involving over 70 participants in action on the water.
The Championship will include seven rounds to be held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujeirah with the finale at the end of April. Saturday's race, which is organized by DIMC is licensed for drivers over the age of 16 years but riders between the ages of 10 - 15 are authorized to race with the consent of their parents.
Racers from seven countries, namely: Italy, USA, France, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE will take part and races will last between 10 and 20 minute.
