Kuwait's national squash team has won the bronze medal after losing against Indian counterpart 0-2 at the 17th Asian Games.
In the first showdown, Kuwait player Ammar Al-Timimi was defeated by Indian player Mahesh Mangaonkar 0-3. In the second showdown, Abdullah Al-Mezayen narrowly lost for Indian player Ghosal Saurav 3-2.
The new medal brings Kuwait's tally up to six medals; one gold and one bronze in squash, three silver and one bronze in shooting competitions.
On the occasion, President of Kuwait's Olympic Committee honored the squash players in recognition of their strong performance during the tournament matches.
On Thursday, Kuwaiti team defeated the Asian games champion Pakistan 2-1.
On Tuesday, Abdullah Al-Mezayen won his country's first gold medal at the 17th Asian Games after beating Indian rival Ghosal Saurav.
The Asian Games, which this year combine a total 45 nations from across the continent, is considered the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympics. The Games will end on October fourth.
