Asamoah Gyan scored twice as Al-Ain extended their lead at the top of the UAE League with a 3-0 victory over Bani Yas. Ali Al-Wehaibi put the hosts ahead in the 26th minute before two goals by former Sunderland striker Gyan (54, 84) saw Al-Ain move nine points clear of Al-Shabab. Ajman are fifth after a 3-0 win over Dubai SC. Olivier Tia scored twice (12, 58) with Boris Kabi rounding off the goals eight minutes from time. Al Wahda moved further away from the lower reaches of the table with a 3-1 over Al-Ahly Dubai. Hugo opened the scoring on the half-hour mark with Ismail Matar doubling the lead a minute after the break. Hugo added gloss in the last minute.
