Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was on Sunday named as technical director at United Arab Emirates side Al Nasr, the Gulf club announced. The 64-year-old, who will work on the development of the team which is coached by Italy's Walter Zenga, will be unveiled at a news conference on Monday. Eriksson had been expected to take up a post with German second division side 1860 Munich, but pulled out of the deal on Friday citing a change of heart. The Swede has an extensive coaching resume having managed Mexico and Ivory Coast as well as a host of European clubs including Manchester City, Benfica, AS Roma, Fiorentina and Lazio. From AFP
