Cross country race to open Qatar’s new athletics season

Cross Country Race to be flagged off on November 12 will herald the track and field events programme to be conducted by the Qatar Association of Athletics Federation (QAAF) for the 2012-2013 sports season. The season opener will be held at Al Rayyan Park. The first day of the event will be allocated for Grassroots and Sub-Juniors categories, the second day for Youth and Juniors and the third day for Men and Women, a Qatar Olympic Committee bulletin said. The QAAF will also organize the first athletics festival for children on November 20, the association said.
