In the XXIIth Cluster Meet of CBSE affiliated schools in Saudi Arabia, IISJ emerged first runner-up in overall championship position with 404 points. The meet was conducted in IIS Damam from Oct. 13 to 17 in which 23 schools across the Kingdom contested various events — athletics, basketball and badminton besides debate, quiz and science exhibition. The participants competed in three categories-under 14,under 16 and under 19 with spotsmanship spirit and camaraderie. In the Games overall championship , IISJ Boys team won the Games championship trophy with 50 points.In the football, volleyball and basketball matches IISJ emerged as the winners and qualified to participate in the All India CBSE nationals to be held in India in December. In the junior and Senior Debate Mohammed Maniyar of Class X and Abdul Moiz Moosa of Class XII made remarkable achievements by winning the First Best Speaker title and the Third Best Speaker title respectively. MississippiSafa Siraj Shaikh who was the Individual champion for the last five years, retained her position by winning the Individual championship title in under 19 category .In the medals’ tally the Boys’ Section won 11gold,10 silver and 4bronze and IISJ Girls’ Section won 11 gold,5 silver and 2 bronze .The meet concluded Oct. 17 with valedictory function.
