Bani Yas halted Al Ain\'s winning run with a 2-2 draw while Al Nasr returned victorious from Sharjah where they came from behind to beat the city team 5-4. Andre Senghor, last season\'s top scorer, put Bani Yas into the lead after only five minutes but Gyan Asamoah levelled the score in the 17th minute. Bani Yas scored in the 42nd minute courtesy of Fawzia Bashir who headed home. Controversial penalty Mohammad Abdullah, the referee, awarded Al Ain a controversial penalty in the first minute of the second half when Mohammad Khalaf, the goalkeeper, collided with Asamoah inside the box for a cross and the goalkeeper punched the ball. The Ghanaian converted for the equaliser. In Sharjah, it was a goalfest as Amara Diane scored a hat-trick for Al Nasr and Rodrigo and Mahmoud Hussain added one each while Brazilians Marcelo and Edinho scored a brace each for the home team.
