Bahrain national football team lost 2-1 to hosts Taiwan in their Group E qualifier for Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup which will be held in 2019.
Bahrain took the lead when striker Mahmoud Abdullatif scored the first goal 19 minutes into the match which was played today in Taipei
Hosts Taiwan staged a comeback to seal the final score through two late goals at the final minutes of the second half.
Bahrain national squad still top Group E, totaling 7 points, despite today’s setback, followed by runners-up Taiwan with 6 points.
The away match in Singapore will be crucial for Bahrain to secure their qualification to the 2019 AFC Football Cup.
