Algerian cyclist Azzedine Laagab snatched the gold medal in the senior men's individual time trial of the Arab Cycling Championship in Annaba (600-km east of Algiers).
Laagab cycled 30 km in 36 minutes and 28 seconds, with an average of 49.36 km/h. He finished ahead of his fellow countryman Adel Berbari, who won the silver clocking 37 minutes and 04 seconds, while the bronze went to Morocco's Salah Eddine Lamraouni (37m 05s).
Sixteen cyclists from eight countries participated in this race.
Algeria has won so far 6 medals (4 gold and 2 silver).
A total of 330 cyclists representing 12 Arab countries, including Algeria are participating in this championships from 9 to 22 October.
