The Algerian cycling team (cadets, juniors and seniors) snatched the Arab championship title on road and track, men and women, which wrapped up Wednesday in Annaba, by winning a total of 37 medals, including 12 gold.
The Algerian cyclists, who also won 14 silver medals and 11 bronze, are followed by Morocco (11 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze) and the United Arab Emirates (8 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze).
Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Bahrain didn’t win any medals.
In road race, Algeria retained its title by snatching 14 medals (8 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze), improving thus its 2013’s results in Bahrain (7 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze).
The Algerians were less brilliant on track race, by winning only 4 gold medals, 10 silver and 9 bronze (a total of 23 medals).
