Karim Allaf of the Syrian national under-15 tennis team, along with the Yemeni player Ghassan al-Ansi, qualified for semifinals of the doubles competitions in the 5th Bahrain ITF Juniors Championship. Both players qualified after beating Wednesday an Indian doubles team 7-6 and 6-3. They also won over a Bahraini team 6-1 and 6-1 in the first leg. In the singles events, Allaf went out of competitions in the quarterfinals after losing to the Yemeni Ghassan al-Ansi 6-7 and 5-7. He however beat the Emirati Abdullah Ahli 6-1 and 6-0 in the first leg and the Egyptian Sharif Makhlouf 6-4 and 6-2 in the second leg. Source: SANA
