Ali Issa claimed the Grand Prix title in the Khalid bin Hamad Showjumping Championship, held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Athletics Association President Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Military Sports Association Field in Al Raffah.
Chairman of Showjumping Committee at the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Platinum Stables Manager Adnan Al Alawi crowned the winners of all the competitions.
Ali Issa claimed the Grand Prix category for barriers 120-130cm high with the speed set for 350 meters/minute, riding his horse Bascal. He finished in a total time of 89.01 seconds.
Sami Ghazwan came in second place riding his horse Fairuz in a total time of 79.19 seconds with four faults, while Eyad Ahmed riding his horse Barilo was third in a total time of 83.34 seconds and four faults.
Fourth place was Tawfiq Al Qattan riding his horse Ted in a total time of 84.83 seconds with four faults.
In the Juniors ‘A’ category, Mayoof Al Rumaihi came first in this category for barriers 85-95cm high and the speed of the course set for 300 meters/minute. He completed the course in a total time of 30.48 seconds riding his horse Granis.
Hussain Mohammed Dadallah came in second place riding his horse My Baby in a total time of 32.94 seconds, and third place went to Nedhal Abdulnabi riding his horse Loshito in a total time of 34.90 seconds. Emmy Kane riding her horse D.J. was fourth in a total time of 37.45 seconds.
In the Juniors ‘B’ category, Ahmed Isa claimed first place in this category for barriers 95-105cm high with the speed of the course set for 300 meters/min. He was riding his horse Osina in a total time of 34.81 seconds.
Katie Edison came in second place riding her horse West in a total time of 37.50 seconds, while Mayoof Al Rumaihi came third riding his horse Grensee in a total time of 29.12 seconds with four faults.
Ali Issa also won the Adults ‘A’ category for barriers 85-95cm high with the speed of the course set for 350 meters/minute in a total time of 25.58 seconds riding his horse Collin.
He was followed by Jassim Mohammed who came second riding his horse Al Yabis, finishing the course in a total time of 26.07 seconds, while in third place was Basil Al Dosari riding his horse Doori in a total time of 27.60 seconds. Abbas Yousif was fourth riding his horse Argentina in a total time of 28.60 seconds.
In the Adults ‘B’ category for barriers 100-120cm high and the speed of the course set for 350 meters/minute, Sami Ghazwan riding his horse Fayrooz claimed the first place prize finishing the course in a total time of 40.14 seconds.
In second place was Basil Al Dosari riding his horse Doori in a total time of 44.71 seconds, while third place was Mohammed Jassim riding his horse Al Yabis and completing the course in a total time of 47.74 seconds. In fourth was Abbas Al Ghuraifi riding his horse Champion in a total time of 49.38 seconds.
