Algeria beat Qatar 3-0 (25-7, 25-4, 25-5) in women’s volleyball at Al Rayyan Indoor Hall on Wednesday. Coach Kamal Emlol of Algeria said, "I didn''t see any difference. For me I was coaching volleyball players, whether men or women. However, with women volleyball players I saw more determination and enthusiasm for the game." "The last game against Egypt will be decisive. In our team five players are absent; however, I believe we still have other valuable players we can rely on." He added. Mercedes Pomares, coach of Qatar said, "The level of the Algerian team is much higher than ours. We are trying to develop the skills of the Qatari team for the future and throughout those matches we have gained experience." In other match, Egypt defeated UAE 3-0 (25-18 25-3 25-14).
