Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Dr Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi inspected the ongoing work at Bahrain Bay in preparation for the launch of the "Challenge Bahrain" international triathlon championship, which will be held on Saturday, December 6, organised by Challenge Family and Nasser bin Hamad Foundation.
Al Kaabi was briefed on the work carried out by the ministry in preparing the race’s start location.
He urged the officials in the ministry to work along with the triathlon’s organising committee as a single team in order to finish all of the requirements as soon as possible and at the high level required.
Al Kaabi stressed that the ministry is working doubly hard to achieve all the success in the competition, which would confirm Bahrain’s status and unique ability to host various international sporting events. He pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain has, in the present day, become home to many top-level championships in all kinds of sports, which confirms the confidence of international federations in the Kingdom and the ability of its people to ensure the success of such gatherings.
Al Kaabi praised the prominent role played by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the success of this global event, and stressed that Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s support will be the basis for painting a bright picture for "Challenge Bahrain".
