Al Arabi recorded Friday an important 2-0 win against Al Ahli, in the 24th stage of Qatar Stars League.
Al Araby's two Brazilians Sergio Junior and Paulinho scored the two goals in the 63rd and 76th minute respectively. The win took Al Araby to 32 points. Their 24 matches was divided equally to eight wins, eight draws and eight losses so far. They move up to seventh place, one point more than Umm Salal who will play tomorrow. Al Araby is also two points ahead of ninth-place Al Kharaitiyat, who face Al Khour later today.
Al Ahli meanwhile remain with 35 points; winning 10, drawing five and losing nine this season. The loss is a massive below to Al Ahli's chances to finish in the top four. They are five points away from fourth-placed Qatar with two weeks remaining. Qatar sports club also have a game in hand, against Wakra tomorrow, which if they win they ensure a fourth-place finish.
