The Algerian gymnastic teams (trampoline, aerobic and tumbling)snatched 10 medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze), at the end of the 2014 Africanchampionship (juniors and seniors, boys and girls) which took place in Walvis Bay inNamibia (April 26 - May 2), the Algerian Federation told APS Saturday.The Algerian trampoline boys ranked first in team events, ahead of Egypt and SouthAfrica, qualifying for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) to take place in August inChina.In tumbling too, the Algerian boys ranked first (teams), while they won two medals(1 gold, 1 bronze) in the individual games.The Algerians were African champions (individuals and teams) in trampoline andtumbling in 2012 (South Africa tournament)).In girls’ aerobics, the Algerian team topped the tournament’s rankings (teams),while the boys ranked third.At the 2014 African championship, the Algerian delegation was represented by 17 athletes, six in aerobics (including 3 junior girls), three in trampoline (two juniorboys and one girl) and four girls in tumbling.
