Zamalek striker Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ has resumed full training on Thursday morning after being unable to play during the club’s last game against Arab Contractors due to injury. Coach Hassan Shehata hopes to get Mido fit for the Bani Sweif Telephones game next Monday to strengthen the team’s attack alongside players Ahmed Gaafar and Razak Otomoyossi. The Whites have been lacking high quality players upfront as star striker Amr Zaki decided to boycott training as he has not received payment for over a year, while recently signed Hussein Hamdy has fallen out of favour and is reportedly on his way out of the club. Mido has asked for a full chance with Zamalek to regain his renowned form as he turned out to be a major flop so far after almost a year at his home club. The former Tottenham, Ajax and Roma striker only played a few minutes and scored a single goal against Ghazl El-Mahala from the spot. After almost a year at his home club of Zamalek Mido’s performance has been disappointing, and he has asked for a full chance to regain his renowned form.
