Brazil midfielder Diego is set to leave Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg after meeting with coach Felix Magath on Friday to discuss why he stormed out on the team on the last day of the season. \"After the conversation it was clear that further co-operation will be difficult and that it is better if we go our separate ways,\" said Magath in a statement on the Wolfsburg website. Diego was signed by the 2009 German champions for 15 million euros ($21.3m) from Juventus last August and has a contract until June 2014, but his Wolfsburg career is now over after his tantrum before the final game of the 2010-11 season. The playmaker stormed out of the team hotel after being dropped for the match against Hoffenheim on May 14 and missed Wolfsburg\'s 3-1 victory, which ensured their Bundesliga survival. \"I have always felt comfortable in Wolfsburg, but I made a mistake,\" said Diego. \"Now it\'s up to the club and myself to find the best solution.\" The Brazilian will train with the club, who began their pre-season preparations on Friday, but will look for a new team. Reports in the German press claim Diego was fined 500,000 euros for his behaviour before the Hoffenheim game.
