CSKA Sofia have announced the appointment as new head coach of Stoycho Mladenov, a former star of the team who previously coached them to two Bulgarian league titles in the past. The reshuffle followed the team\'s crushing 2-0 loss against Chernomorets Burgas in their first match after the resumption of the season this weekend. Mladenov, 54, who led CSKA to two league titles in 2003 and 2008, will replace current coach Dimitar Penev, the club said in a statement. Penev, a legendary national team coach who took over CSKA in October 2011, will, however, remain with the team as supervisory board chairman. CSKA are currently in third place, three points behind leaders Ludogorets Razgrad after the restart of the Bulgarian league following the winter break.
