Major boost for England, Scotland game

The organisation of the first England vs Scotland Legends five-a-side football match here has received a major boost in the form of a new sponsor. The deVere Group, one of the world's largest financial advisory firms, is supporting the game, which will take place at the Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence in Dubai on February 24. "The tournament is a not-to-be-missed highlight on the Middle East expatriate calendar," Steve Rigby, deVere's senior area manager, said. "The oldest rivalry in football is going to be played out with many powerhouse players, including Lee Sharpe, Des Walker, Gary McAllister and Trevor Sinclair flying in to represent their home nations, and the deVere Group is pleased to be able to bring this much-anticipated game to those living in the UAE." Besides the sponsorship, the firm also announced that it has presented 50 complimentary tickets to the children of Abu Dhabi's British School Al Khubairat.
