Kuwait football team will be playing in the semi-final of the Arab Games after defeating Saudi Arabia 2-0 on Saturday, according to Kuwait News Agency. The Kuwaitis, playing in the second group, only needed a draw to qualify but succeeded in winning the match to boost the points to six out of two wins. Saudi Arabia and Oman have one point each. Ali Al-Kandari scored the first goal for Kuwait in the last minute of the first half. Al-Kandari header diverted Jarrah Al-Atiqi''s ball from corner kick to the net. Bader Al-Mutawwa scored the second from a penalty kick in the 83 minute. The match was average with few chances on both ends. Kuwait will meet Jordan in the semi-final while Bahrain plays against Palestine. Both matches are next Tuesday.
